Final Flowers with Bees, Gemstone Practice & Art Display

Our 2nd, 3rd, and 1st graders finished up their spring flowers by adding a detailed drawing of a bee in a magnifying glass. I love the layering and mixed media effects of these beauties. These are going to light up the hallways very soon to keep us all excited for the coming Spring!

4th and 5th grade got busy learning and practicing how to draw gemstones. They also had to practice unique color combinations and blending to make their gems look like they have light coming through them. Next week we will be choosing one of the nine we drew to make huge with watercolor paint!

On another note the 4th and 5th grade Radial Relief Sculptures are up on display at our local library. Please take a chance to get down and check it out!
